Hi! We're Paul and Lyn. Join us for a walk down memory lane as we revisit all the wonderful places we went on our Best of Sicily in 11 Days tour in September 2023.

 

We learned so much about Sicily’s diverse history and culture. We now have a little better understanding and appreciation for its people, its struggles, its triumphs, its food, and its traditions. Since returning home, we’ve watched a few TV shows and movies with scenes from various locations around the island and it’s always so fun to say, “I recognize that spot!”

Our group and our guide

The Rick Steves guides are the greatest! All are educators at heart - so passionate about the countries and people they introduce us to and eager to share their enthusiasm. We were fortunate to have Alfredo as our guide. We first met Alfredo on the Athens and the Heart of Greece tour we took in 2022 where he was the apprentice guide. We knew he also guided the Sicily tours and we were hoping we’d be lucky enough to travel with him again. And we were! Our driver navigated the narrow, twisty little roads so well with that big bus...it never ceases to amaze me how skilled these drivers are! The local guides were all very engaging and added that little extra to our experience. We had a great group of fellow travelers, hailing from several states as well as Canada and Puerto Rico.
